CityCamp Brighton is about thinking differently about the way our city works and about using the web, technology and participation to change the future of our city.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re someone with a great idea or a problem to solve, or if you have skills you can bring. CityCamp is for people who are passionate about our city and want to find new ways of doing things. Thanks to our generous sponsors, there's a fund of more than £20,000 available to share between the best ideas.

If that sounds interesting - but you aren't sure how you or your organisation can take part, we are organising a CityCamp induction evening on 9 February in central Brighton.

This free evening event will give you a brief introduction to the CityCamp format, give some ideas about how you can make the event work for your organisation and find some funding. With others from the community and voluntary sector, as well as people from local tech businesses,  you'll be able to talk informally over a glass of wine, sharing problems to solve and ideas for solutions, and start preparing ideas to bring to the main event in early March.
